The Beginning
Hasanand Panchgavya traces its roots to the Shri Mathura Vrindavan Hasanand Gochar Bhumi Trust, established in Vrindavan in the 1930s under the guidance of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and inspired by Sant Hasananda Maharaj.
The institution was created to protect indigenous Gau Vansh through dedicated Gochar Bhumi in the Braj region.
What Changed
Over time, the work here moved beyond sheltering animals to building a scientific breeding centre focused on the conservation and genetic improvement of the Gau Vansh. This includes maintaining lineage records, measuring yield, and managing how the herd develops over time.
How It Is Structured
The conservation work is carried out by the Shri Mathura Vrindavan Hasanand Gochar Bhumi Trust.
Hasanand Panchgavya operates as the commercial arm, supporting this work through the production and sale of ghee.
Products are sold by Hasanand Panchgavya Pvt Ltd, with proceeds supporting the ongoing care and conservation of the Gau Vansh.
Looking Ahead
Future expansion may include:
- supervised farmer integration
- structured calf distribution
- milk buyback models supporting rural livelihoods
These initiatives are currently under development.
